Katmai National Park and Preserve

Katmai National Park and Preserve is located in Southern Alaska, at the top of the Aleutian Islands chain. Just a short 45 minute flight from Anchorage or 20 minutes from King Salmon, the park offers the highest density of Coastal Brown Bears located in one area. Every year, the bears gather around Brooks Falls and the waterways during the salmon run to fatten up and prepare for another winter hibernation season.
